Essential support for future teachers who are keen to succeed in their internship.
Our collective of teachers offers help workshops in preparation for the various internships that future teachers must complete in order to obtain their teaching certificate. The workshops we offer place particular emphasis on the preparation of future teachers from immigrant backgrounds. We make sure to offer them the tools and strategies necessary to develop a better understanding of the reality of life in Alberta classrooms in order to better succeed in their transition from university students, to intern, to teacher. .

At AITC-CEIA we understand that navigating the Alberta school system as newly arrived immigrants can be intimidating. This is why we offer presentations to help parents better understand the new school system they are facing. These presentations are intended to provide information on the general functioning of schools in Alberta, on the different programs of study at both elementary and secondary levels, on the prerequisites necessary to obtain a secondary school diploma, as well as on the extracurricular activities available to secondary and elementary students. These presentations are essential tools for any newly arrived immigrant parent looking to support their children's academic success.
